受地震影响，东北新干线“山彦223号”列车16节车厢在福岛站至白石藏王站区间脱轨，所幸无人员受伤。日本铁路东日本公司宣布，受脱轨事故影响，东北新干线那须盐原站至盛冈站区间17日停运。
